ALPINERace with us. SVSA’s alpine program provides world class training and racing opportunities to young ski racers of all abilities. Our racing program builds on over 40 years of experience and success.
Stride with us. The Sun Valley cross country program is one of the most sophisticated and successful junior programs in the country. Alumni routinely ski for the best college programs and have competed and thrived at the highest levels of competition.

Fly with us. SVSA freestyle skiers have access to a private competition mogul course, as well as Sun Valley's superpipe and terrain park.
Ride with us. Snowboard team training covers all aspects riding, including freestyle, halfpipe, freeride, alpine, and boardercross.
What's it like to live, study, and train at SVSA? The sample schedule below is based on the schedule of one of our boarding student-athletes, Kyla. Kyla is a 10th grader and alpine racer from Lake Stevens, WA.
Tuesday, Winter Term
6:45am Alarm goes off. Breakfast (eggs and ham) at Residence Hall.
7:30am Super G training at Dollar Mountain.
9:15am Arrive at school. Check-in with advisor.
9:30am Spanish. Present skit using recent vocabulary
10:10am Chemistry Lab. Complete titration lab with partners.
10:50am Free period. So glad I took advantage of summer school so I have extra time to study!
11:00am Lunch in lounge. Cheer on friends in ping-pong tournament!
11:40am Free period. Meet with Chemistry teacher to review the work I will miss when I leave town to race.
12:10pm Ceramics. Glaze my recent masterpiece- a teapot!
12:50pm Algebra 2. Proving the quadratic formula today.
1:30pm Load bus for Warm Springs- GS Training on Baldy.
4:30pm Head to gym for recovery and/or maintainence lifting.
5:30pm Back to Residence Hall for a shower and a quick call to Mom and Dad.
6:30pm Dinner at Residence Hall: Grilled chicken with rice and roasted veggies.
7:30pm Study Hall.
9:30pm Hang out with roommates.
10:30pm Lights out.
