SVSA Admissions

The SVSA looks to admit motivated student-athletes. We expect a SVSA athlete to be devoted to maximizing their potential in their chosen sport. All SVSA athletes can point to a record of dedication and commitment. Most can point to accomplishments at the local and regional level; some have achieved recognition at the national level.

More than just athletes, SVSA students are good sports, good citizens, and positive stewards and ambassadors for their sport.  They are leaders, and contribute to the community in the classroom, on the snow, and in the dorm.

“It’s hard to express how happy I am that I made this decision. I was sure I loved my old school, but the Community School quickly replaced that thought. I love going to a school that works with the student-athletes to ensure a balance between endeavors. Many ski academies expect the student to focus mostly on the athletic side of their high school experience, while the Community School allows for both a challenging athletic season as well as a challenging academic year. At Community School, academics and athletics go hand in hand.

I love it!”  - Jesse, SVSA student-athlete
